Avantage Property Acquisition ("Avantage", "we", "us") is a business of 2D Concepts Pty Ltd, ABN 49 093 525 458, which also trades as The Design Concierge. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can contact us about it.
What we collect
When you enquire, subscribe to The Avantage Update or engage us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, the regions and property types you are interested in, your budget range and anything else you choose to tell us. If you become a client we will also collect the information needed to act for you, which may include identification documents, finance details supplied by you or your broker, and the details of properties considered and secured.
Our website records standard visitor data such as pages viewed, referring site, browser type and approximate location, through cookies and similar technologies. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a first conversation.
- To provide buyers advocacy, negotiation and related services if you engage us.
- To send The Avantage Update if you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email or by contacting us.
- To understand how the website is used and to improve it.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including those under Queensland and New South Wales property legislation.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only where needed to deliver our services, for example with your conveyancer or solicitor, mortgage broker, building and pest inspector, selling agents in the course of a negotiation, and The Design Concierge where you have asked for renovation or styling services. We also use trusted service providers to host this website, deliver forms and send email, and they may store data on our behalf. Some of these providers store data outside Australia; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in line with this policy.
How we keep it safe
Personal information is stored in secure, access controlled systems. We keep it only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires, and then delete or de-identify it.
Your rights
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You may also opt out of marketing at any time. To do any of these, email private@avantageba.com.au. If you believe we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
